Update

We had planned to go camping this weekend but somehow most of our camping stuff is lost. Not a clue where it went. Sigh.

I guess plan B is to just go hang out at the lake on Saturday and then find something fun to do on Sunday. Hummm... not nearly as fun as camping.

A few weekends ago my brother called and said they were coming up to visit. We had a great visit... until the stomach flu they brought with them hit us. Of course they didn't know they were bringing it with them but it still sucked. We got over it on Monday. Tuesday we cleaned the house because we spent three days with toddlers in my not-baby-proofed-house, and then two days in various stages of death by flu.

Wednesday we went to Flint to pick up Christian (he spent the week at Josh's) and Josh. They spent the weekend playing video games and swimming. On Sunday we took Josh to the drop off point in Flint, and met Duncan and his dad. Alex went to Duncan's house until Tuesday, when we went back to the drop off point and picked him up.

This week has been spent doing school, ordering school books and just getting ready for the upcoming school, year. Yeah, we school year round but since Christian is starting High School this year we are trying to make it official. Ok... not really. It just happened that we are finishing up most books so we held off starting most new things until our "official" start. Hey... it sounded good at the time.

We are going to have a Not Back to School ice cream social/pool party this Wednesday. We invited friends from Detroit and the whole group up here. Hopefully people will be able to come on such short notice. Keep your fingers crossed. We really need to meet like-minded people up here.

And now, a vent.
Why in the hell doesn't the Super Wal-Mart up here carry maps? I have seen the 2-pack world/US map at every Wal-Mart for YEARS. Now that I need a new set (ours were torn in the move) they don't have them. The worst part is they kept telling me they were getting them, so for a month and a half I would look for them whenever I was there. What a waste of time!
